United manager Paul Simpson spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's touchline reporter James Phillips earlier this evening at United's trophy presentation for the League Two title. Simpson talking about the need to celebrate the good times as you never know when they are going to happen in football :

" It's fantastic, we've waited weeks and weeks to be able to get to this point, now we've got our hands on this trophy we can celebrate in front of or fans. It's a wonderful moment for us, we're delighted and we're going to milk it.

" It's a lovely trophy but I don't think it would matter what the trophy looked like. We're champions of League Two, it's what we've worked hard to do and we're thrilled to bits with it, now we want to enjoy every moment.

" It's all about celebrating the hard work that we have put in to this because these moments don't come around very often, so when they do you have to make the most of them, and we're going to make the most of this moment now. We're going to enjoy all of it.

" The bad days seem a long, long time ago but we've got to make sure that we don't ever see them again. We said when we went down that we've got to make sure that that is the last time we feel that low, and we were that low at that time. Now we've got a wonderful high, we've got a great celebration, a wonderful season, everything to celebrate and we've got to make the most of it.

" It's an incredible moment, it's something that I think when I first came into the job two, and however long years ago it was, you wonder whether you are ever going to get to this point. We have now though and we're going to enjoy it, it's been hard work, it's been great fun and let's hope there is more fun to come.

" I think I'm stinking of champagne at the moment, but I don't care, I've got to be honest with you, I've got no change of clothing and a long night ahead of me but who gives a monkeys about things like that. We've got a lovely night to look forward to.

" It was wonderful to go to the game today knowing that we don't have to worry about what was going on around us. It's wonderful to be able to go and celebrate what we have done this season, and now we can really milk it for everything. We thank the fans for turning up tonight and enjoying everything with us, enjoying the season and hopefully sticking with us as well. "

Blues striker Michael Bridges also took time out from the celebrations to speak to Radio Cumbria, Bridges commenting :

" It's fantastic, the fans have turned out and everybody has come out tonight, the lads deserve it, they have been fantastic all season, we've got what we deserved so fair play. It's been a great season, I can't thank Dennis Booth and the gaffer (Paul Simpson) enough and all the boys and the fans have been fantastic. "
