Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll spoke to BBC Radio Sheffield on Saturday evening as he gave his opinion on his team's 2-1 defeat at home to United, Bond talking about both sides being evenly matched apart from two wonder goals by the Blues :

" We've set really high standards and I suppose when you set high standards you have bigger disappointments. I thought both teams were a bit lacklustre, I watched Carlisle in the week on Wednesday night and I thought we both looked like we had a game too many, with us playing on Tuesday as well. We edged ourselves in front and we just thought we might grind one out but two fantastic strikes have done us really.

" Copps (James Coppinger) has been threatening to score for quite a few games so it was nice to see him finally on the scoresheet. The game never really got going, our passing wasn't up to our usual standards, but I thought that we did all the nitty-gritties really well, and you just thought that 1-0 might be enough. The pitch is quite hard on peoples' calves and hamstrings but we have nothing untoward on injuries.

" I thought we played better in the second-half, they are human beings though and when you play 46 games and set really high standards then if you don't hit them then you get disappointed. I thought we managed it well, they were frustrated, but, like I say, we did all the nitty-gritty things that you need to do to win football matches. There is not a lot we can do about two strikes into the top corner.

" Ben Smith made a couple of good saves after that but we were chasing the game, so if you are chasing the game then you expect to give the opposition a few more opportunities. We could have nicked it in the end though a couple of times but it wasn't to be. I think he (Lewis Guy) snatched at his chance but he caught it really well, if it had hit the back of the net then everybody would have been pleased. He was there though and took the responsibility of having a shot so I'd rather look at the positives than the negatives.

" How many games have we lost? – not many. There is always cause for concern but you don't get carried away when you are winning games and I'm not going to get carried away when we've just lost a home game. The process starts win, lose or draw, we'll be back doing the same routine, they are all in ice baths now, they'll all be in tomorrow and everything carries on the same, you can't get carried away one way or the other. "
