Saddlers right-back Rhys Weston spoke to the Express and Star about his side's 2-1 defeat at Brunton Park on Saturday, Weston, like his manager Richard Money, complaining about the awarding of United's spot-kick by referee Eddie Ilderton :

"I'm not going to speak too much about the referee. But he didn't endear himself too much to the lads - every decision we questioned we were treated with contempt, but it's one of those things. I don't know how that can be classed as intentional - we were three against two and the lad had a shot and Boertien blocked it. It's cut and dried as far as I'm concerned.

"To look at the positives, we had four or five good chances, which should have at least given us a point, so we've got to try and take those positive points into the next game. We played some good football in spells, as did Carlisle. They're not where they are in the league by chance, they're a good side, but it was a tough game.

"They said it was the toughest game of the season and a mistake was the only difference between the two teams. That is the most frustrating thing about it. There wasn't much to choose between us and it's disappointing to have lost in the way we did.

"On the face of it I don't think we deserved to lose - just look at the goals we conceded - a dubious penalty decision and then a mistake at the back. But we'll keep our heads and the mark of a good team is how you bounce back from disappointment and we'll be looking to do that next week."
