Barry Hunter, who was speaking exclusively to Rushden's official club website www.thediamondsfc.premiumtv.co.uk, talked about some terrible defending from his side and what the future holds for the Northamptonshire outfit :

"We've got to forget it and forget it quickly which is exactly what we said in the dressing room but you've got to take the hurt in the next few days and make sure this never happens again.

"They've scored straight away from the kick off having given them a set piece on 30 seconds and that's just not good enough and when we've had our good spells they've caught us on the break and scored far too easily. There are no positives at all from this game.

"Unfortunately, some of my usually reliable players didn't have a good day today. In fact, nobody played well and I said things in the dressing room at the end that couldn't be repeated. Sometimes its the only language they understand. We have lost and lost heavily and they know it.

"You can see why they are where they are. Carlisle were very direct and very high tempo. I think they'll go up. They were very clinical and had a really good day. We had a lot of play but our final pass was poor. The two lads up front for them were exceptional today."

"Graham Allen is back and should feature next week while we took Wayne Harswell off midway through the second half today mindful that he is on nine bookings.

"Two big strikers isn't working and we'll probably change it for next week. It was a tough one to call between Simeon (Jackson) and Tommo (Lee Tomlin) on the bench but we thought Tommo was right for this game. However, we've had a long chat with SJ (Simeon Jackson) about the situation and he will definitely feature next week in some capacity.

"Teams like Bury and Chester have not only been sucked into the relegation battle but have tough games to come. However, it is up to us to win games rather than worry about other teams.

"We can still stay up but the next two games are must win games. They are the biggest games the club has ever had and they are 'our season'. In a strange way, if my players had to have a bad game then at least it was today and they can get it out of their system. We have to get the balance right when firing them up for the next game and we will."
