City left-back Liam Fontaine spoke to the Bristol Evening Post as he talked about the prospect of facing his old pal Kevin Gall in the big promotion clash at Brunton Park on Saturday :

"I played left-back against him when they played down here and obviously it will be nice to play against him. He is a very good mate of mine. We were at Yeovil together and we were quite tight and we used to go and do things in the afternoon and have lunch, so I am looking forward to seeing him.

"He had a season at Yeovil (2003-04) when he was banging a lot of goals in and then he started to dry up for a season, but since he went to Carlisle he has started to score again. He is a very fast player but it is not always about pace. It is about your positioning and reading of the game, so hopefully I can use that to my advantage and get a couple of yards on him.

"They have got a couple of lads on loan from Premiership clubs, but it is just another challenge for our back four. We have done really well and we have had a lot of clean sheets. If we do that again and score that is the game won. I played at left-back a few times at Yeovil and the gaffer knows I can fill in there and I played a few games there this year."

Cole Skuse, who missed City's 2-0 win at home to Yeovil last Saturday with a dead leg, also talked to the Post, Skuse saying :

"Saturday was a massive game and a derby in front of 19,000 fans and it wasn't the sort of game you want to miss. It was hard to watch because you are kicking every ball and on the edge of your seat and you just want to play. But I have been having some treatment and I should be training by Thursday.

"If all results go out way we could get promotion there but we know the last three games will all be tricky. People are saying we have done it but we are not thinking like that. We have got to go there to do a job and take the points.

"Carlisle and Millwall are two tricky away games and then we have got the home game with Rotherham and you can't write them off either. It would be nice to get a goal but that is not my main focus at the moment. It would be an added bonus but I just want to get promoted."

While City midfielder David Noble commented :

"Carlisle have still got a sniff of promotion so they will have plenty to play for. It is not going to be easy but we are looking to go and win every game."
