United's loanee defender Richard Keogh spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Christmas Eve morning, Bristol City man Keogh commenting on his own potential future at Brunton Park :

" It has been an exciting few games for me, there have been some tough ones but I think that has helped all the lads get where we want to be at the moment. Every game is a tough game but when you are playing Leyton Orient and Swansea at home and other teams like that then it builds a lot of excitement around the place. Luckily for me I've kept that and it's just gone really well for me to be honest, I can't complain too much so hopefully I can continue really.

" I think that when I signed it was until the 1st of January so there are only a couple of weeks left but there are a lot of games over that period so hopefully we can pick up a lot of points over that period and keep ourselves up there. I think after that busy Christmas period then the league starts to pan out where you obviously get a few late surges for the play-offs about. Hopefully though if we keep playing the way we have been playing then I can't see why we can't stay up there and be challenging from then on really.

" I'm just concentrating on playing football really at the moment, I've had a good chat with the gaffer (John Ward) about it and we've had some great conversations. Like I say, I'm really enjoying my football at the moment and I'd be more than happy to stay longer. So we'll just have to wait and see what happens, I think it will be down to the manager at Bristol City (Gary Johnson) and the manager here to see what they want to do with myself. Until I know more from the gaffer at Bristol City then obviously I will keep concentrating on my football, keep working hard in training and keep playing well for this football club. "
