Gary WaddockWanderers manager Gary Waddock spoke to BBC Three Counties Radio and his club's official website after his side's 2-2 League One draw against Carlisle at Brunton Park, Waddock saying that Wycombe should possibly have won the game :

"Of course we are disappointed to concede late on in the game but after the start we had we would have taken a point. But, it is disappointment and joy because I thought we played very well, we carved out a number of chances and possibly should have won the game. That is the second week now on the trot where we have given ourselves a mountain to climb, and credit to the players as yet again they have done that. We are not giving ourselves a chance early on in the game but they turned it around.

"The keeper (Adam Collin) was outstanding for them today, the save he made from (Marcello) Trotta was fantastic, and then he has made a save late on as well, so he had a very, very good game. It is a shame we caught him on a day like that, but look, a point away from home up here is a very, very good point. It is momentum, we have picked up four points out of the last two games but it should have been six.

"The football we played in the first-half was very pleasing, but not only that, we were able to carve out chances as well. The front two linked up very well (Stuart Beavon and Trotta) and I thought Joel (Grant) and Macca (Anthony McNamee) did extremely well as well in the wide areas, so we were a force going forward but conceding so early was very frustrating.

"McNamee's was a great goal, he has cut in on his left foot and he has found the top corner so a fantastic finish. The second goal was a good move and then Beavon's reverse pass into Trotta and the finish was excellent. But, we have also hit the post, the keeper has made a couple of fantastic saves and we are disappointed we have only got a point.

"They threw everything at us again in the end, but we didn't mark early on and we didn't mark late on. But, there were a number of times we could have stopped the second goal, poor decision making at times from us which led to their goal, so frustrated but happy with a point and the players showed a hell of a lot character and desire today.

"We were away from home so to take the game as we did to Carlisle, who are sitting very, very high in the table, and are a good side, I am not going to change the way that I want our team to play and we saw that today. On another given the day the keeper wouldn't have played so well and we would have ended up with three points.

"Obviously, Marcello's loan period is up now and we will be speaking to Fulham, who have been great with us, to see if we can extend that as he done very, very well and I am very pleased for him and I would obviously like him to stay. He could have had two or three goals today, he hit the post, the keeper has denied him but he did get one finish, so he had a good game.

"I thought as a group of players they pulled together well today, they are very disappointed in the dressing room and I think that shows you what it means to them to come all the way up here and not get the three points. For the fans to come all the way up here as well with the weather conditions and on the Saturday before Christmas, we thank them for that and hopefully they will have an enjoyable trip home."
