Saddlers manager Chris Hutchings spoke to BBC Radio West Midlands after his side's 1-1 draw against Carlisle at Brunton Park, Hutchings pleased with the striking options he has in his squad at present :

" It was a hard-earned point, I think that they shaded the first-half and had a few chances where we rode our luck a little bit, but if you don't take your chances you don't win games. We changed things round a little bit in the second-half though and I thought that we had a little bit more energy and looked more of a threat.

" It doesn't matter what two we start with upfront, we know that if the other two are on the bench then they are always going to be a handful. So it was good to see that we gave them (Michael Ricketts and Sam Williams), 30 minutes which we needed to and I thought that they changed the game.

" They were fresher. The other two boys have played a lot of games in recent weeks and you wonder whether it just catches up a little bit. To bring on Michael, who hasn't played for quite a while, and Sam who is young, fresh and keen to get out there and start especially after scoring at the weekend, was nice.

" It was nice to see Michael tuck the penalty away when it came. I think that it was a bit dubious and we were very fortunate, I don't know whether he (Sofiene Zaaboub) has got a little bit of a clip and a dive or a little bit of both. The referee (Clive Pawson) was right on the spot though in fairness and he has decided to give it, so I am thankful that Michael tucked it away for us to earn us a point.

" They (Troy Deeney and Jabo Ibehre) have done exceptionally well. It is the first time that Michael has been involved in the squad, Sam has been involved, on the four games that he has been here he has got on every time and contributed. Obviously he scored at the weekend so that was good for him but the other two have done exceptionally well. "

" Troy had got four in five and Jabo has been working exceptionally hard and not scoring, but in saying that there will be another time when someone else is doing all the donkey work and he will be scoring the goals. So it will be nice for him to get off the mark again but he is contributing and that is the most important thing, and to have four strikers available is a massive thing for the club.

" They probably let us off the hook a little bit in the first-half, they had numerous chances and maybe should have done a little bit better. We had a goal obviously disallowed from a set-piece, I don't know whether it was offside but it was given offside. We weren't a real attacking threat tonight though, it seemed to fizzle out in the last third and that is why I made the double substitution with about 30 minutes to go.

" Rene (Gilmartin) did very, very well, especially late on he made an excellent save low down to his left which he didn't let escape from his grasp and tucked in, so I was pleased to see that stay tucked into him. His contribution was very good and I was delighted for him, and to come away and get a point as well which is big.

" Dwayne (Mattis) has got a slight thigh strain and it was touch and go whether he would be OK for the game. We decided not to let him travel though so that he could get some rest and make sure that he can fully prepare for Saturday. Richard Taundry, hopefully he could be OK for Saturday as well, but we just have to wait and see.

" I think that we need to tighten up at the back in the loan window, I don't think that that is a secret. We are trying to sort that side out of things but if we don't get players in at this moment in time then we will do what we have been doing and get on with things.

" We have had two away games, we have got two points, we have come back again to get something out of the game and it showed a little bit of character from the lads, which is good. In the past we have conceded late goals, not conceding for draws but for losses. It's nice to have the boot on the other foot and come back and finish strongly. "
