Tranmere manager Les Parry
Rovers manager Les Parry spoke to BBC Radio Merseyside after his side's 2-0 defeat away to Carlisle, Parry saying that the Whites had enough chances to get at least a draw out of the game :

" I thought that we had more than enough chances to get something from the game, and they weren't even half-chances were they? They were good, good chances. We should have got something from the game, we didn't, full marks to Carlisle, they took the chances that they had and they have turned out winners.

" It is a great save from their goalkeeper (Adam Collin) from Ian Thomas-Moore's penalty. I think any save from a penalty is a great save, it doesn't matter, there is only the way that you go that makes it a good or a poor penalty. It is a great save and the same with ours by Peter (Gulacsi).

" It was a poor first goal that we conceded, we have got to defend that better. Joss Labadie let the lad (James Berrett) go, they have gone to the by-line and pulled the ball back and if Joss goes with him like he should do then at least he can try to put him off a bit.

" For the second goal we changed markers as well which makes it a little bit more annoying. He (Peter Murphy) is not the biggest centre-half but the fact that at first they put him on Enoch (Showumni) to mark Enoch so they obviously think he is good in the air. He has punished us, he has attacked the ball well, a great ball in (from Berrett), but again you have got to deal with corners like that. "

" But, they were all good opportunities that we had to get back into it, they weren't half-chances. We had a very similar one to their goal where it was pulled back for Enoch on his left foot but he has put it over. Ian (Thomas-Moore) has missed a couple of chances and Joss from the corner, the lad (Collin) has saved it on the line.

" But, you have got to take those chances, it is no good, the lads don't miss them on purpose so it is no good us harping on about it. We just said that in the dressing room, we have got to take confidence from our second-half performance today because the only thing that was missing was that little bit of luck in front of goal.

" It is encouraging that we are creating chances now on our travels. We have created six or seven good, good chances today and you would like to think that you would convert one or two of those. Because, we always fancy ourselves to score, we said before the game that let's for a change try to keep a clean sheet. Because, I always feel that if we can keep a clean sheet then we will win the game because I always feel that we will score a goal.

" I came here wanting to win, I thought that we would come here and win. I didn't think for one minute that we would be beaten, and that is the confidence in the team at the moment. It will take a little bit of a knock from this result but I think the performance will buffer that knock just a little bit. So, I am sure we will go into Saturday's game as buoyant as we came into this one. "
