Town manager Mike Jackson spoke to his club's official website after his side's 0-0 League One draw against Carlisle at Brunton Park, Jackson looking at the match two ways:

“I am both happy and disappointed, I think in the first-half we were poor. Connor Goldson and Joseph Mills were outstanding all game and they have kept us in the game. We rode our luck first-half, we just seemed to be lacking energy. The other day you look at the way we played and you come here and you are thinking whether it is Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday-Tuesday and it has just crept up a little bit I don’t know.

“But, I wasn’t happy at all with them first-half, I let them know that at half-time, that is the first time I have had to go in and say to them that it isn’t acceptable by any means. Because, I know we are better than that and I know they are better at doing it. Second-half we got ourselves going a little bit but didn’t keep the ball enough like we asked them to do. We then started to come into it towards the end of the game, made a few changes because legs-wise we didn’t look like we had the legs there today.

“Bahrudin Atajic has come on, Tom Eaves has got himself going, I think we have had some good chances there, Aaron Wildig has had one, someone has knocked him out of the way for one, Tom could have squared that back for Sam Foley at the end. But, it is a good point and I think the back four were outstanding, they got us the point tonight. Strikers got us it the other day, they have got us the point tonight, although probably we have rode our luck there I think.

“Jermaine Grandison is injured, I don’t know if is serious yet, it is his hamstring, we always knew this could be the case going Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday-Tuesday, but where we are obviously you have to use them. So, we move on, we have got the deadline coming on Thursday. We have got Dominic Iorfa as well to go in there so it gives him an opportunity, which is why we brought him in. But, we will have to see how Jermaine is.

“I need to have a look at it now and see what has happened for the transfer window. I am going in tomorrow, I will have a discussion with the scouts and decide. Listen, if you get young lads in now then you are trying to get them up to speed in four weeks. So, we have probably got to make sure that they are the right ones if we do anything, we don’t just want to bring them in for the sake of it. But, we need to check on everyone, see how they are going, see how they are feeling and I will go from there.

“I am delighted we got the point in the end because I thought we rode our luck, I think the lads know that, they are honest enough to say they can be better than that. It is game on now really with Notts County winning, but we knew it was going to be like that didn’t we. I think a point is maybe too little, but we have not done enough, we have got to be better than that, especially after Saturday. But, I think it might be Saturday-Tuesday, disappointing but delighted with the point.

“I think Walsall on Saturday will be our fifth away game out of six, so four points from the last two games is a good return from the games we have had recently. Carlisle are fighting for their lives as well and I think it was a sign of two teams that are a little bit nervous, lacking a bit of quality. It showed and it ends up being 0-0, so delighted with a point but we could have done better. You have standards and to put on a performance like we did first-half you get very disappointed with it. But, you have got to look at the big picture, it is a point in the right direction for us. So, we will take that definitely. “
