Orient manager Russell Slade spoke to BBC London 94.9 and his club's official website after his side's 4-1 League One win over Carlisle at the Matchroom Stadium, Slade happy with a perfect week for the O's:

“It has been a perfect week for us, so we have got to be really pleased with that. I mean three straight wins is fantastic for us and there are still seven games to go and we keep working hard every single game. It was a difficult surface today I felt for both teams, but we did our best and the most important thing is that we got the right positive result.

“We were a little bit patched up again, I couldn’t keep the front two on for longer than I did, but it still worked didn’t it. Charlie MacDonald comes on and gets us a penalty almost immediately and David Mooney has come on and got a valuable 25 minutes. So, from my point of view and with the games and the minutes that we have got left of the season it is important that they got some pitch-time.

“We are looking that little bit more ruthless aren’t we at the minute and that is encouraging. Dean Cox has gone and got a goal, he hadn’t scored for a bit, and Kevin Lisbie keeps going, he scored another one. So, it is all good stuff and Romain Vincelot who we know can a get goal through midfield opens his account, so there are lots of positives.

“There is a possibility the Carlisle goalkeeper (Mark Gillespie) could have been sent off in the first-half. I think it would have been harsh on them if I am honest because to credit it as a back-pass I thought was a really harsh thing to do to be honest. It wasn’t an easy afternoon for them, I felt for them a little bit because not too much went right for them."

“It was a difficult afternoon for them, but they kept going, fair play to them and they pulled a goal back. I was disappointed that we didn’t keep a clean sheet because we had the ball and we gave it away. That has upset the group so that is a measure of how far we have come in money ways in terms of that mental strength as much as anything else not to give anything away.

“We are Leyton Orient, every game is difficult, so we have to prepare ourselves for the next game, which is Preston. For Leyton Orient they don’t get any tougher an away game than Preston. They have got a new manager in (Simon Grayson) and I don’t think they got a positive result today, but they have done fantastically well since he has gone in and it will be another strong challenging test I am sure.

“I am not even going to talk about the play-offs, my thing is to win as many games as we possibly can between now and the end of the season. I think that is five unbeaten now so I can’t ask for more than that. We got a really nice performance today and what is more important at this stage of the season is that you want a result, we took the opportunities and we took them at the right time today.

“The supporters got behind the side today, that was very, very important because it has been two games a week and this is the last game if you like in the series until we play the two in quick succession over Easter. So, it was important for them to get behind us, they did that and that was fantastic."
