Alan SheehanMagpies left-back Alan Sheehan spoke to BBC Radio Nottingham after his side's 2-0 League One victory at home to Carlisle, Sheehan saying he has been busy practicing County's second goal he scored against United :

"Me and Alan Judge do a lot of practicing and it is good that that one flew in today you know. They say practice pays off, it did in this case. The manager (Kevin Curle) just told us to get it down and express ourselves and that is exactly what I did, just whipped it into the top corner, so I am really happy with that. I am just happy that we got the three points today and another clean sheet, and we are gaining momentum and we are in a really good place at the moment.

"Momentum is so important and at the start of March with 12 games to go we have got 18 points out of the last 21. People are going to start recognising us again, we slipped down into mid-table, now we have picked it back up and it is a good time to be hitting form. We have got a good bunch of lads in there and everybody is up for the challenge.

"I didn't know we were in a play-off spot until now, it is a very good position but there is a long way to go yet. We are not going to get carried away with it, we are just going to take one game at a time, we have got Tranmere on Tuesday night away from home, they will be wanting the points because they will want to get safe and we will be wanting them because we want to go up.

"I was supposed to be playing last Saturday and then at about twenty to three I kicked the ball and felt a twinge. I know all about the commotion with Harls (Jon Harley) and all that, he was getting his hair cut and everything. But, he got the late shout and he has come in in the last two games, which just shows the depth of the squad. We have had four different back fours in the last four games and we have kept four clean sheets, so it just shows that whoever is in the team and in the back four are going to give it their all because we know it is an important run-in.

"You never want to concede but that is four games in a row without and when you go on a run and you get momentum then you get little bits of luck and the goals stay out, so long may it continue. They didn't really open us up today, which is another positive thing to say, but we are really happy, as long as we keep winning it is going to be good, and if we are keeping clean sheets then we have got a good chance of that."
