Cherries assistant manager Jason Tindall spoke to BBC Radio Solent after his side's 2-0 home win over Carlisle, Tindall very happy with Bournemouth's performance in the second-half :

" It was a very good day, Carlisle are a very good side, as they have proved in the early part of this season, so it was always going to be a tough game. So, we are very pleased that we have come away with all three points.

" We were disappointed with the first-half, it was very bitty, not too many chances, but it was an opportunity to try to put things right at half-time. I think you have got to give the lads some credit because they have gone out there in the second-half and they have performed extremely well and dominated the second-half.

" Making the substitution at half-time gave us more of an attacking threat. It has been tough because we have had to play the way we started the game and the way we have been playing recently, because obviously a lot of our front players are lacking in fitness and they have been injured.

" Michael Symes has only been training for a short time with us, he has only done full contact for the last two days. So, what we didn't want to do is start with him and him break down, that would have been a big setback for us because you are talking six to eight weeks. But, he came on, he did great for us, he gave us more of an attacking threat and I think over the 90 minutes we thoroughly deserved the win. "

" I think looking at the first-half performance you probably would have said that the team that wins the game would probably win it with a set-piece. But, going on the second-half performance I don't think you would have said that. Because I felt we created a number of great opportunities and the deadlock was broken from a corner. But, after that we created more than enough chances to comfortably win the game.

" You always ask for a response from your players after a defeat and that is what they gave us today. They have done it time and time again, last year when we were excellent we would have setbacks and we would always respond in the right way. We asked that again of the players today and I think they have gone out there and done that for us.

" We wanted to bounce back in the right way and we have managed to do that. But, we want to make sure we go on another good run and we continue that with a good performance against Exeter. Again, which is going to be a very tough game against a team that are in form as well.

" It is always for a difficult for a new lad like Adam Smith to come into a new side, especially in the latter part of the week. Adam has come in and he has performed extremely well for us today and he did great for the penalty. "
