Stephen O'HalloranUnited centre-half Stephen O'Halloran (SO'H) spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's James Phillips (JP) following Carlisle's 3-1 League One defeat at home to MK Dons, O'Halloran saying that if it hadn't been for little mistakes then maybe the Blues could have got something out of the game :

JP

A tough one today, a very good side you came up against, what did you make of it?

SO'H

Yeah, MK Dons came with a good reputation but obviously we thought we would be able to get a result out of today, if it hadn't been for maybe the little mistakes in the game we maybe could have got something but that's just the way it goes. So, hopefully we can pick it up now for Tuesday because we need to start getting back to winning ways.

JP

Is it a good thing from a game like this, they were a tremendous side were MK Dons, but is it good that you can see areas where you can improve and you could do better next time?

SO'H

Definitely, you could see their manager (Karl Robinson) is obviously a young manager and he has instilled them to have a lot of energy and passing, they passed really well today but I thought maybe we could have got in their faces a bit more. But, obviously we will learn from that and try to turn it around when we are playing next time. But, we just have to learn from our mistakes I think after today because obviously we showed after we got our goal back that we can compete with them.

JP

As a player with Premier League and Championship experience what was it like watching a team moving the ball around as quickly and as slickly as they were today, could you see that they were going to cause you a lot of trouble?

SO'H

Yeah, they have got some good players in their team, obviously they have got Luke Chadwick who has played at the highest level as well. So, you can see they have got a lot of quality in their side but obviously we have a lot of quality in our team as well and we have a belief that we can play football the way they did today. So, hopefully we can take in a bit of confidence and start playing the ball a bit more because we know we have it in us.

JP

And you have got a bit of a Frankenstein hole in your head at the moment, I am sure or I hope for you that that will go fairly shortly, what is it like playing with five stitches in your head?

SO'H

Yeah, it is not too bad now, I got the elbow from Tuesday night so I have to get on with it and it was strapped up today in a bit of Terry Butcher style. But, the stitches will be out after the weekend and hopefully I will be fine for Tuesday, so I am looking forward to hopefully putting it right on Tuesday.

JP

Is everyone looking forward to just that against Accrington and not taking them lightly at all?

SO'H

No, definitely not, we know Accrington, last season they had a good run and they are a good side. So, it is a cup competition and we have obviously done well in it in the past so we are looking to do well as well.
