RoslerBrentford manager Uwe Rösler spoke to BBC Radio London 94.9 and his club's official website after his side's 2-2 League One draw against Carlisle at Brunton Park, Rosler happy after a tough week for Brentford :

"I am very, very happy, we have to be realistic, we played against a team who rested themselves the whole week, I see it as a very, very good point because we played at Charlton on Wednesday and then we had a long way up here to travel. It takes a lot out of you playing on Wednesday and then on Saturday, you have to go up to the limit to get a result, going to bed very, very late, food, sleep, travel, very, very difficult.

"We weren't physically or mentally at 100%, we gave 100%, we gave what we had in the tank and what I said before everything went to plan. We started very well, the pressing was good, we played from the back, got the first goal and after that I don't know why we started getting too long too early. The centre halves were not decisive enough to ask for the ball and we went too long too early.

"The keeper (Richard Lee) kicked too many long balls, we lost the second balls and they started to run at us, instead of continuing to play like we started the game. At the end of the first-half we got back into the game, we got control again, the second-half I felt was quite even between two teams who could have nicked it in both boxes, we made a few mistakes but we should take confidence that we got a point up here and we move on now to Scunthorpe.

"We had a good chance before our first goal with Sam Wood and we are working on certain things in training. We are working on it with the midfielders, especially when you are playing with one upfront, that the two offensive midfielders, one of them has to bomb on all the time as a second striker into the box, and they have to score to take the pressure off the lone striker.

"But, for me the best thing today was after we were 2-1 down that we didn't panic, that we still tried to play, we changed the formation up to two strikers and obviously with Sam Saunders and Myles Weston we looked dangerous. We made substitutions and we encouraged the players to play and I think we got the reward. We looked dangerous at every set piece and we got a lot of free kicks and corners and I thought the goal would come.

I think we could have won it in the end, we had a header cleared off the line, also the second header from Clayton (Donaldson) was cleared off the line and then the free-kick from Sam Saunders. I think overall a fair result, two teams who gave it everything but the fitness department, a big compliment for Brentford, you should not forget that Carlisle had the whole week to rest and train and you couldn't see that in the end because we were pushing and pushing and pushing.

"The boys got the equaliser and I wanted more, I said straight to Clarkey (David Clarkson), straight to Jonathan Douglas, give the ball to strikers because I saw Carlisle had problems with them in and around the box and I felt with one or two corners more we would have scored. Overall though I'm very happy with a point, especially coming back and the way we came back, by not panicking."
