Peterborough United's manager Mark Wright and centre-forward Danny Crow, who were both speaking exclusively to the club's official website http://www.theposh.premiumtv.co.uk, had the following to say on the Posh's 1-1 home draw with Carlisle United on Saturday which left the Cambridgeshire outfit in 10th place in the League Two table :

Ex-England international Wright commented :

" Carlisle had a bit of experience in their side and you have to give them credit for the way they performed, but I am also very pleased, we controlled the first half and should have scored. We should have gone in at half-time one or two goals up. Big teams will always have a spell and unfortunately we dropped that extra 10 yards again and they were able to get the ball into their front two a bit easier.

" We gave silly free-kicks away and when you do that you invite pressure. Some of our lads are saying that the goal was offside, but we should have dealt with it a bit better. I thought it was a good game of football and I think a draw was about fair.

" We know we have to get a left-back into the club. Peter Kennedy was very stiff after the game following two matches in a week and we will be looking in that area when the transfer window re-opens. There are a few things I am looking at for the window. However, I am pleased with the performance in the last two games and with a bit of luck we could have taken six points from the two home games. Overall, you can't criticise any of the players because they have given maximum effort in both matches. "

While striker Crow, who was signed from Norwich in the summer said :

" I was pleased with my goal, I just concentrated on hitting the ball low and I think it went through someone's legs on the goal-line. I was happy about that, but I am more disappointed because I felt I should have scored near the end. It was just behind me, but I was in the right place and it was disappointing not to see it go in. We got a point from the game and Carlisle are a decent side, so we are reasonably pleased with the 1-1 draw.

" We are a young team, everyone is still learning and that is the same with myself and Calum Willock. We are both still young, we both have pace and we are good mates on and off the field, which I think helps. All the forwards at the club have something to offer, there is good competition for places and they keep us on our toes. "
