Speaking exclusively to the official Peterborough website www.theposh.com Mark Wright said :

'For the first 10-15 minutes, I felt we absolutely battered them and yet we haven't got on the end of anything. We should have won that game 3-1 yet I am evaluating a 1-0 defeat for the second successive match.

'There were some big performances out there. I thought Mark Arber was excellent and I thought Paul Carden was unbelievable. He covered every blade of grass out there. The only thing we are not doing at present is getting on the end of balls into the box.

'James Quinn and Adam Newton will be back at the weekend, but with Calum Willock still out, I may still need to bring another striker in. If you get beat two or three nil you have to hold your hands up and admit you are not good enough, but when you get beat 1-0 and be dominant in the games in attacking areas, then I believe you should be getting something out of these matches, yet we haven't.

'I am down that we have been beaten, but I am more down about the fact we didn't deserve to be beaten. We have to keep believing, keep doing the right things, the only aspect of our play that isn't up to scratch is the finishing and by that I mean someone to get on the end of our build-up play. I believe everything else is going well.

'Danny Crow is not going to play every game and after the pre-season, it may well be catching up with him a bit at the moment. Trevor Benjamin did better, but he hasn't really looked like scoring. I need someone in the box who can score goals and we are missing that.

'I was pleased with the team spirit and I believe the players are beginning to adjust to this league now. To get beat 1-0 in both games shows how close we are, but it is about scoring goals and that is the area we need to improve in. We go to Bristol Rovers next and the confidence is still very high,'
