United boss Neil McDonald spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria on Tuesday evening as he gave his opinion on the 1-1 draw away to Bradford City. McDonald talking about an excellent second-half performance :

" I think that we gave them a goal in the first-half which we weren't too happy about, we didn't really pass the ball like we can, we asked them to do exactly what they did in the first-half but to be a little more crisper with their passing, and I thought we absolutely dominated the second-half. To get a goal and almost get one right at the finish would really have finished a polished performance off.

" It's defintely Lummy's (Chris Lumsdon's goal), it's come off his bum, so he's had a photograph in the changing room with everybody pointing to it, so it's definitely his goal. A (Zigor Aranalde) winner would have been special but I'd have taken a point at that time I suppose with being a goal behind, and then you look at your watch and think, go on then go up, and fortunately for them their keeper (Donovan Ricketts) made a great save and it's a 1-1 draw.

" Bradford never broke us down at all, Keiren (Westwood) has had a couple of long shots to save and stuff like that, but to come to a place and totally dominate a strong Bradford team on their own patch, and to come back from a goal behind as well, is very, very pleasing. I think the players have grown up, I think they've come to terms with the league and I think a fine performance like this has shown it.

" It's a great stadium and it was nice knowing that we were kicking towards them (Carlisle fans) in the second-half, so I've asked the players wave-on-wave to play off the front foot a little bit quicker, to create chances by the third man running and stuff like that. They've done everything I've asked of them in the second-half and we've almost pinched it at the end, which I think we would have probably deserved to take the victory off our all-round performance.

" I wouldn't say the goal was sloppy, it was probably careless. I try and have a no blame culture at this football club, we're all responsible when we concede a goal. I didn't really dwell on it at half-time, infact we never even mentioned it at half-time, it's all about what is happening in the second-half and that's how positive we are. The players want to be positive as well and I think they took that into the second-half.

" Both of them (Danny Livesey and Paul Thirlwell) performed well tonight and it was a proper team performance as well, and that pleased me more than anything. They've stuck at it when they've gone a goal behind and really forced the issue in the second-half, and really dominated, as I say, dominated the second-half for me, and we've no injuries from tonight either.

" This is what football is all about, the supporters have been down below where we are now at the minute and they've travelled in their thousands to Weymouth (sic) and all the non-league grounds, and now this is a fabulous stadium that they're going to go to on Saturday and we'll try and give them something to shout about. "
