Neil McDonald On The Barrow Trialists

Blues boss Neil McDonald spoke to the News and Star about the two trialists that featured for United in their 2-0 win at Barrow, those being 25-year old Dutchman Reggie Faria and 17-year old ex-Scarborough winger Ged Dalton :

"Reggie did well, he scored a goal and showed a few of the things he can do. I'll be speaking to his agent today and about what the package is and we will see how that goes.

"He (Dalton) is only a young lad - one for the future. He is a young boy who has been playing in a man's world and he hasn't looked out of place with us. He has been to other clubs to have a look, but we will be having discussions with him to see what he fancies doing."

Meanwhile pacey wideman Faria himself commented :

"I've really enjoyed my time at Carlisle and I'd like to work with a manager like Neil McDonald. I think we have similar aspirations and Carlisle seem like a club that are going places. I want to be part of that."
