Billy Paynter
Town top scorer Billy Paynter spoke to BBC Radio Wiltshire after his side's 2-0 win over Carlisle at the County Ground, Paynter pleased to reach the 20 goals in a season mark for the first time in his career :

" I am happy to get to the 20 goal mark, it just shows you how well the whole team is doing, they are creating chances and you have two good players there (himself and Charlie Austin) who are scoring goals from them. I made the run to the near post and Alan Sheehan has put a nice ball in and with the pace on the ball I have just directed it into the opposite corner.

" Danny Ward put another great ball in and I just tried to be too precise with it and it just went the other side of the post. But we are creating chances and it is good and the strikers are scoring goals.

" We do work on things on the training ground though and sometimes they come off as well. A clean sheet today as well is massive for the whole team from back to front. We are a team, we score goals and win games as a team and to keep clean sheets is a massive boost.

" We just want to concentrate on what we are doing in the league. We want to be there at the end of the season hopefully, as long we keep on winning games and picking up a point away then I am sure we will be in a healthy position.

" Stockport next will be a tough game, they have got loan signings in and they are at the wrong end of the table so they will be fighting for their lives. So I am sure it is not going to be another pretty game to probably watch but as long as we do the right job and get the win that is the main thing.

" It is nice to get 20 goals, I have never reached the 20 mark before but I am just going to try to carry on doing what I am doing. The most goals I have scored in a season was probably 14 at Port Vale so I feel like I have improved, and if I can keep improving then I will be happy.

" I put it down to the team, we have got some really good players and we are creating more chances. I said at the start of the season that if keep getting chances then I believe I can score goals. At the start of the season they weren't going in but I have kept my head up and I think the rewards are paying off. It just shows you that the team is doing really well and hopefully we can continue that. "

Meanwhile Irish left-back Alan Sheehan, who returned to the Swindon line-up today following a hamstring injury, commented to Town's official website :

" I got my head down in training and the key really has been hard work every day. Days like this make it all worth it. The result was fantastic and I was delighted to get through the ninety minutes. The hamstring feels good and touch wood things will be okay. It's great to be winning the games we are.

" Billy Paynter and I were joking around with the celebration. It was a sumo wrestling thing - we had the idea but as we were both involved in the goal we thought we would go for it. It was a good craic!

" I think we have the players here to win promotion, the spirit is great and if we keep picking up points who knows what could happen. We don't fear anyone and I am excited ahead of the next game. The run we have been on has been great. The County Ground is becoming a bit of a fortress and let's hope we can keep it going. "
