United midfielder Marc Bridge-Wilkinson spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Monday evening as he talked about the 2-0 victory against Northampton at Brunton Park, Bridge-Wilkinson talking about the good team spirit in the Carlisle camp :

" This is a team sport and each and every one of us is in it, not just for ourselves, but for everybody else and I think that really shows when we go out on the pitch. You look at Evan (Horwood), Evan has come into the team recently since January and he's been fantastic. Everyone though, Cleveland (Taylor) has come in, Cleveland was excellent again today as he was on Saturday and Simon Hackney. Everybody has been doing their job for the team and has been doing really well.

" The table makes great reading doesn't it. We know what we are capable of and we know from now until the end of the season what we have got to do. We're just going to keep coming into it every game and hopefully take three points and just see where it takes us.

" We can enjoy the result tonight, we've got tomorrow off, we can enjoy it as well. When we come back into work we'll be focused on the game on Saturday - Gillingham away. It's going to be a difficult game but we'll look to continue where we have left off today, and Saturday's away performance and see what we can do down there.

" The first goal is something that we have worked on actually and we haven't done it for a couple of games. At half-time the gaffer (John Ward) mentioned that maybe we should try the near-post one, first corner we came out and it worked. When things are going your way they really do go your way. It's something that we have worked on, Simon put a great ball in, Murph (Peter Murphy) had a great little deft touch and (Danny) Livesey stuck it in the back of the net. "

" That's six he's got now which is frustrating, luckily I managed to get one myself because he was giving me a bit of stick before that, so I'm back on seven. To be quite honest my goal was down to Danny Graham, if you look at it on the television, I've not seen it myself but obviously Danny has done all the hard work and then basically just put it on a plate for me. Obviously I'm very thankful for that and managed to get the second one and on we've gone. Greg (Abbott) probably would say that I scuffed it, but it was an alright finish and it hit the back of the net so that's the main thing.

" You can't take anything for granted in this game, Gillingham are obviously struggling at the minute but things could turn around for them. There are still eight games left, I think they've maybe got seven games left, I don't know how many games they've got. It's difficult for them down there but it's the same thing, we want three points, they want three points for a different reason so it's going to be a hard-fought game.

" Pressure is all the same, wherever we are in the table we know that we want to go out and get three points. It's obviously nice to look at the league table, but as soon as we cross the white line we're not thinking about what is happening elsewhere, or what we are going to do. We just want to win the game, if we win the game then we know that we are going to do OK this season and that's what we've got to do. If we can go unbeaten, or win every game from now until the end of the season, we are going to give other teams a really tough task to overtake us.

" The home record isn't bad is it, that just shows the spirit of this team you know. We haven't played particularly well today but we have come away 2-0 victors. Against Luton last week we were 2-1 victors, again in the second-half we were under perhaps a little bit of pressure. Even when we are not doing so well we've got the stamina, courage and bravery to go and win games anyway and put ourselves right in the firing line. So it's a big pat on the back for the rest of the lads. "
