United midfielder Marc Bridge-Wilkinson spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Saturday evening as he talked about the 2-0 victory against Brighton at Brunton Park yesterday, Bridge-Wilkinson suggesting that everyone at the club is pulling in the same direction :

" Being seven points ahead of Forest now obviously shows what a big result Monday night was. Obviously Monday night was no good if we didn't win today and we've managed to do that, Forest have drawn at Crewe today I believe and seven points is now the gap between us and them. So we've got a little bit of a buffer but we're not looking behind us, we're looking in front and hoping that we can get in front of Doncaster now.

" It wasn't difficult to come down and concentrate on the Brighton game, it's part of the job that we are paid to do. We got a great result on Monday night, and we enjoyed Monday night and we enjoyed a couple of days off in the week. We thought long and hard about what we had done right and wrong, and we came in on Thursday morning looking forward to the Brighton game.

" The gaffer (John Ward) said well done on Thursday morning and that was the last that was mentioned of it. We've had a big job to do today, if we hadn't won today then the Forest game wouldn't have been worthwhile really. So it's a great result for us today and we've really kicked on again from Monday night so long may that continue.

" Some people can look at it (4-5-1) and say that we have only got one frontman but we play with two out-and-out wingers who push forward, take people on and get crosses in. The way it worked out on Monday there was myself and Grant (Smith) who were able to get forward as well. It's not a negative system in any way, shape or form, it's just a different way of playing. We've played it slightly different today but we have got the same sort of result. We won the game and I think that in the end we were quite comfortable.

" It's difficult not to look at the table, obviously we have a little look after the game on a Saturday and it's nice to be able to look at the right end of the table. Last season when I was at Bradford it was, to be quite honest we didn't look at the league table, it was something that we knew we had to get wins and we weren't doing it. This season we know that we are up near the top of the table and if we can carry on who knows what is going to happen. It's just one of those, if we can keep winning and keep picking up good results then who knows where we can end up.

" The next game is the most important game of the season now which is Luton. Then obviously the focus after the Luton game goes onto the Saturday. If we can get a good three points again on Tuesday against Luton then that would be fantastic for us. Team spirit is something that this club has got, not just in the team or in the squad but the staff and everyone around the place.

" Everyone is in it together and everyone is pulling in the right direction. If you've got a problem then you can go and see somebody and they'll help you, whatever it may be, any simple little thing, and there are always people that will help you and talk you through things whatever it may be. So it's not just the lads out there but it's the club as a whole. "
