United midfielder Marc Bridge-Wilkinson spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Tuesday morning as he talked about Carlisle's promotion prospects this season, Bridge-Wilkinson first chatting about the 2-2 draw at Swindon last Saturday :

" Obviously it was a big point at the time with us not playing so well and then grinding a point out, but the result in hindsight has turned out to be even bigger for us. It was a strange game really, we started quite well actually, the first five minutes or so, but then they obviously got on top and we struggled a bit. Going in front in the second-half it kind of opened the game up a little bit and they came at us and we got at them. At the end we have got to be pleased with a point.

" Keiren Westwood's triple save was fantastic, every time they hit one you thought "oh God" and then he saves it. Then the next one drops to them and you think that surely one of them is going to go in, but it was all three. Then I think that he made a great double save afterwards, or just before, I can't remember which it was, but he made some great saves for us in the first-half and the second one as well, and we are all really thankful for that.

" The spirit here is second to none really, we've got players who have got a little bit of experience, we've got young lads, we've got all ages really and everyone gels together. There are no individuals in the team, everyone is not in it for themselves and is in it for everyone else. I think that that shows with the performances that we have put in.

" Being footballers we love to play football, playing games is what we like to do. Training is great fun and we really enjoy it and work hard but the games are where you really earn your money. So to be quite honest I'd rather play the games anyway so two games over three days at Easter doesn't make too much difference. "

" There is a long way left yet, ten games left so we'll see how it goes, but we're right up there, we've got ten games left now and we can see the finishing line, and let's hope that we can nudge over the end. We know what we are capable of, we've shown what we are capable of, obviously at home we are on the run that we are on at the minute, and away we are now starting to pick up results as well. We want to do things the right way, we want to get great results and that's what we are going out to do.

" First and foremost we concentrate on our own results, who we've got in the next game whenever that may be, Saturday, after Saturday's game then it will be Monday obviously. We'll look on Saturday's game and if we can get the result that we need, we know that if we keep winning our games then we've got a great chance. If we go to the end of the season unbeaten then we'll see what happens with the rest of the teams, we'll see what happens.

" My form is OK, patchy, doing some things well and some things not as well as I'd like but we're all out there together and it's not about one individual, it's about the whole group and the whole team. At the minute we are doing the job so that's what matters. The lads will probably tell you, total football, I love to pass the ball and to play, some games you have got to go and fight and win headers and tackles and stuff.

" That's the type of game that we are earning great points from, like Saturday, and there have been certain games like the Luton game where we didn't play brilliantly. They probably played better than us overall but we have managed to come away with the three points that matters. That's why we're near the top of the table and perhaps they're not. "

" With the one striker up there it's a lot more, said from the gaffer (John Ward) and Greg (Abbott) to push on. In the last couple of games before Saturday I was playing up behind Danny (Graham) in front of the midfield which was nice. It's easier there to get forward but obviously it just depends on what system we are playing and what players we have got available. Coming to the end of the season now we've got quite a few injuries which is difficult but we've got a decent squad. The rest of the lads that come in will just fit into it and get on with things.

" This club in general, not just the players, the staff and everybody, it's so close and everybody is pulling in the right direction. I've said it before and it's something that we are doing for ourselves, individuals obviously, for the team as well, for the staff, and also for the fans, which is the most important thing. It's something that we as a unit, and as a team, we're really intent on doing.

" People, they may see it as people giving Cleveland (Taylor) a bit of stick but we'll take that on board as that's not Cleveland, that's the team and a squad thing. If one person is getting a bit of stick then that effects all of us. It's difficult to take, it's obviously a minority, whether this happens again we don't know, we've yet to see, but Cleveland is doing a great job for the team and a great job for all of the lads out there.

" He's doing things that he is asked to do and he is doing them fantastically well, people don't sometimes see the sort of jobs that people do because they think that he is not doing this or he's not doing that. Sometimes though we are asked to do different types of jobs when we go out on the pitch on a Saturday and as long as people are doing that then they are doing what is right for the team, and that's the main thing. "
