Blues midfielder Luke Joyce
United midfielder Luke Joyce spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Paul Newton on Friday evening about his current one-month loan spell at Barrow, Joyce also talking about how he sees his future at Brunton Park :

" I am really enjoying it, I think that we have done quite well so far. We are unbeaten in the three games, obviously got the great result against Brentford and we got the good point at Rushden and Diamonds. Then on Tuesday it was a little bit disappointing, it almost felt like a defeat as we dominated for the majority of the game and then only came away with a point.

" We conceded two slack goals really and those sort of games are the games that we all want to be winning. Nevertheless though we have come away with a point and we have not lost the game so I am really enjoying it.

" I wouldn't say there is a massive difference here. I'd say that League One is maybe a little bit quicker and I'd say that maybe a little bit more football is played, but other than that there is not a massive difference to be honest. You could see it when we played Brentford, Brentford are riding high at the top of League Two and they have come to Barrow and we have played as much football as them if not more. We beat them 2-1 on the night so I don't think that there is a massive amount of difference.

" I am enjoying it, Mark (Boyd) is a good player, he has got good ability, he is great with the ball at his feet and I think that we have complimented each other well. I do a lot of the running, try to get forward and try to break up play and stuff like that, so I think that we bounce off each other quite well. "

" It is a massive relief to be playing first-team football, I could have stayed at Carlisle and just gone through the motions and played a couple of reserve games here and there over the Christmas period. I am looking forward to every Saturday though and every Tuesday night when we have got the games and it is a big challenge for me, and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

" If I went back to Carlisle and there wasn't much of a chance of me playing there then I would definitely consider going back to Barrow because I have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. I haven't really spoken to Greg (Abbott), we spoke briefly, Greg said that in the immediate future that I am not really in his plans, not in the starting eleven anyway.

" So he said that it was a great opportunity for myself and it does Carlisle a favour that I can go out and get games, but I suppose that we will sit down and talk about that in January. Then I will know more about my options and what I am going to do.

" We trained at Barrow on Thursday night and I think that there were only a few lads there, I think that there might have been only just into double figures, with the lads training on Tuesday and Thursday night. The team has not been named for tomorrow though so hopefully I will be in the starting line-up and we can get the win. "
