Carlisle United Director Lord Clark of Windermere spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's James Phillips before the home game against MK Dons, Lord Clark first looking back on Tuesday night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy penalty shooutout victory over Leeds :

" Wasn't it exciting on Tuesday? The key thing is I hope this will galvanise people to come and support us in the weeks ahead at Wembley. We will be all going down to Wembley but the team, the lads, desperately need the support out there in the ordinary matches before there. We have got to build up the confidence so that we go to Wembley and we actually win. We are determined to win this time.

" We know the players have got the ability, the key thing is to build up their confidence, the whole team, the whole squad. The best way to build up confidence is to have the crowd here at Brunton Park yelling and crying for Carlisle United. That is what we want and I hope we do have people coming down here and shouting the lads on to victory.

" We are aware that it has been a very difficult time and we are very much aware that a lot of the matches have been midweek matches. Myself, living in the south of the county, I know how difficult it is, Whitehaven, Workington, Penrith, Kendal and Windermere to get back after a midweek match and not getting home until after 11pm.

" If you have got to get up the next morning then it is very difficult, so we understand the difficulties but we are actually hoping that people will come to the Saturday matches and do what they can to get to the home midweek matches too. "
