Foxes manager Nigel Pearson spoke to the Leicester Mercury and his club's official website about the 2-2 draw between City and Carlisle at the Walkers Stadium yesterday, Pearson still trying to keep a positive mindset on things :

"We have to keep our patience and our nerve and that's something we will do. Yes it's getting tighter but I would still rather be us than anybody else. We go into the final five games in a very positive mindset. We are very upbeat - it is disappointing to drop two points in the final few seconds of a game but we move on.

"Teams around us won but we are still in a great position. We played quite well but it didn't quite break for us and we did enough to win the game. We have to make sure we do our side of the bargain to win the championship, but more importantly to get promoted.

"Other sides are having better runs than us. But I still think we have a very good squad and I am very, very confident they will see the job through. We are still in a very good position and still up there to be shot at. We have been since day one of the season.

"I am disappointed because we did enough to win the game. We got ourselves into a winning position and it is unfortunate we didn't pick the three points up. But these things happen. I was pleased with the performance. Their first goal was a poor one to give away from our point of view, but apart from that there was only one team in it and trying to win the game. We should have won it - it is as simple as that.

"When you are in the position that we are it can be quite frustrating when things do not go your way. I thought that both of our goals were very good and we could have even scored after Carlisle's dubious equaliser. Kerrea Gilbert's is a similar injury to that which he has picked up before. We should know more on Monday.

"It was a new experience for him (Astrit Ajdarevic) and I thought he dealt with it very well. It is a big plus for us because he is a player who comes into the mix for the closing stages of the season. He gives us something different and he will have a big part to play in the run-in, I am sure."
