Huddersfield boss Lee Clark spoke to BBC Radio Leeds after his side's 2-1 win over Carlisle at Brunton Park, Clark suggesting Town should have been out of sight in the game before Joe Anyinsah pulled a goal back for the Blues in injury time :

" I am pleased that we got the victory, they gave us a bit of a scare in the last five minutes and injury time. I thought the goal was quite soppy that we gave away but I think we should have been more ruthless anyway. We could have had the game put to bed by half-time to be honest with you.

" The situations we had ourselves in, good positions in behind their defence with opportunities to get our head up and pick out one of our attackers. But the final ball just wasn't there at times so it ended up being a little bit more nervous than it should have been.

" I thought our two central midfield players were outstanding tonight. I think Antony Kay has shown in the last two games why we were so desperate to bring him to the club, he has been combative and then has also been calm when he has had the opportunities to pass it. And we always knew that if we could get Danny (Drinkwater) on the ball as much as has been tonight that there was a very good player there.

" I had seen that at Manchester United and I think he showed tonight that he is a good footballer. They played when they could but when they had to scrap and fight and do the ugly side of it then they did that. Danny in all honesty could feel himself a little bit unlucky at the Galpharm to be left out, because I thought in terms of the attacking side at Brighton he was one of the plus points. "

" I thought that Lee Novak and Jordan Rhodes were very good again tonight. They do form a good partnership and they were worthy of the goals they got tonight. So we were really pleased with their efforts.

" Players set their own standards, I have said to them, and that is why I was just a little bit disappointed. We shouldn't have to go through that at the end and then in injury time. The game should be over, and clean sheets, I am an attack minded manager but I love getting clean sheets as well, they are important to me.

" So that is a bit of a hammer blow but we won the match so we have got to be happy with that now. We have got another tough game on Saturday on the road but this is a good start to what was always going to be a difficult period for us.

" I am not too sure how much the players look at the league table when they are away. But we just talk about getting our own house in order and how we can do things right for us to get positive results. "

" We try to give them an in depth analysis of the opposition and how they have done in the previous games. So that is all we can worry about, we can only affect our results and if other results elsewhere go for you then that is all well and good.

" I hope it is a similar performance at Hartlepool on Saturday to the this one, certainly attacking-wise from us. But I fully expect a very, very tough game at Hartlepool, they came to the Galpharm and gave us a right good game and we were in the middle of our right good patch.

" So we know that is going to be tough, it is never easy there, so we will start preparing for that now really. We have talked about it already, so it is all about the players preparing right and being up for the fight. Because there are never any easy games and no matter who you are playing against you have got to earn the right to compete and win the football match.

" SKY have approached us for the Millwall game in April to be live on television on the Friday night. I think it is good recognition for the club and where we are at. Obviously there are financial aspects to it but obviously that decision was left to me on the managing side because we play at home on the Tuesday evening as well, but it is a great boost for the club.
