Sponsors man-of-the-match Kevin Gray spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Monday evening as he talked about the nervy 3-1 win at home to Bournemouth and how players handle being left out of the side :

" First-half performance was very good, we played well, played some good stuff and put them under a lot of pressure. Then in the second-half they came out and passed the ball well against us, I think we sort of sat a bit deep but we managed to score a goal right towards the end and that sealed it for us.

" You could obviously sense a bit of tension coming in, people are bound to get tense, and we were getting a bit nervous as well I suppose. Even when they put a bit of pressure on us I never felt they were really going to cause us any major problems really. We've defended well as a team when we needed to.

" Keiren (Westwood) is playing well and Danny (Livesey) is playing very well at the moment. I think Murph (Peter Murphy) moved out to left-back for today's game and he has done very well there. We're a tight unit again at the back which is good, then also, first-half especially, we were tight in midfield and gave them nothing at all so it was encouraging again.

" Of course it's all to play for, we're just going to keep taking every game as it comes and hoping that we'll win it and get the three points, then we're closer to what we are trying to achieve. We'll just keep going, keep our heads down and working hard.

" News on me is obviously between me and the manager (Neil McDonald) so I can't really speculate anything on that at the moment. It's a difficult one for him but it's a good thing to have, the lads who don't play week in, week out, or haven't done recently, or haven't done in the past, have kept themselves fit, kept their heads down and worked hard.

" People like Derek Holmes, Paul Arnison, James Krause, Neale McDermott and others like that, they keep working hard and doing well in the reserve games. They're not letting things get them down because they are not playing, then obviously chances can come for people. You might need every single one of those towards the end of the season.

" No professional footballer likes being left out, that's why you play the game, because you want to play first-team professional football. Unfortunately though we've got a big squad and a good squad so someone has got to lose out. It's been a fantastic season, I think we've surpassed a lot of people's expectations this season. To be in the position that we are in now, and the form that we are in now, is good, we've just got to keep working hard and keep the ball rolling. "
