Carlisle's skipper Kevin Gray spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Saturday evening as he talked about the 3-0 home defeat to Sunderland, Gray talking about what needs to be done before next Saturday and Doncaster :

" I think today we've played against a good opposition in Sunderland, the goals that they scored were quality goals obviously. It was very disappointing for us but we can take a lot of positives because we've done OK, we've created chances and played a lot of good football.

" It's disappointing to concede goals from outside the box, they were some good quality goals to be fair, but it is disappointing to concede any goals. We'll be working on that though, we've got a few things to work on in training next week, the main game is Doncaster and we'll be getting ready for that one.

" We put today behind us, it's a so-called pre-season friendly if you like, it's just an extra workout, extra things for the manager to get over to us, and a chance for him to get us to play how he wants us to play before the league starts. Obviously you're always disappointed to lose a game but the main thing that we've been working towards is the first game of the season next Saturday.

" We're looking fit, we've done a lot of hard work over pre-season so the lads are pretty fit and raring to go. The first game is important obviously, it's always nice to get a win and it's nice to play at home as well but it's going to be good, maybe not to lose, but to get a win is important and to do well and play well. We're going to be working hard again, as I say, in training and getting ready for that game. "
