Blues centre-half Kevin Gray
United skipper Kevin Gray spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria on Friday evening as he gave his thoughts on the FA Cup match at Swindon tomorrow. Gray commenting on Carlisle's poor form on the road :

" The FA Cup has got a good history with it and every team and club enjoys playing in it, although we've had to travel a good distance but it's got to be done in football, so we can't complain about it. We're due something away from home this season, but we haven't had a good run in previous years so we're going to be looking to get stuck in and beat Swindon tomorrow.

" Not winning away from home isn't playing on our minds really, obviously it doesn't get talked about, everybody knows the situation though so sub-consciously you think that a bit of pressure is on you. I don't suppose it is really though, this is a cup game now so we've just got to go and enjoy it and hopefully we can get through to the next round.

" We've no idea why our home form is so much better than our away form, obviously if we knew that then we'd have done something about it before now. I really don't know what it is but we've been doing OK away from home yet we just can't get the first win under our belt. The Cup is there to go and get stuck in and have a good run in and the games have got to be played, it's a little bit of a break from the league I suppose and we can go and enjoy ourselves and relax and see what happens.

" They (Swindon) are in quite good form, they have been doing well, they got relegated last year but they are doing OK this year. They are near the top of the league and are in pretty good form so it's going to be a tough game for us. We've just got off the bus and arrived at the hotel (6.15pm), so we're just unloading, getting checked into the rooms and then we're going to have some tea.

" I don't mind the overnight stays, with having to travel such a long way it's better to come down the night before than on the day of the game. If you are sat on the coach for six and a half hours like today then it can be quite tiring really. I usually room with Chris Billy and he's alright to room with, I roomed with him before when we were at Huddersfield so we knew each other before really. "
