Oldham boss John Sheridan spoke to Oldham's official website about the 0-0 stalemate against the Blues today. Sheridan talking about how well the Latics defended and the fact that his ten-man side even had chances to win the match :

"I thought the lads worked extremely hard, we defended in numbers and the lads were putting their bodies on the line, which was good to see. I was disappointed with our start, Carlisle took the game to us for the first twenty minutes and we didn't look like we were at the races.

"However, we got into the game after our slow start, and I thought it could have been two- or three-all at half-time - their keeper made two wonder saves. Overall I was very pleased - I still haven't seen a team better than us this season. We just need a bit of luck and then I'm sure the goals will come, we created some great chances in the second half today, and could have nicked a goal.

"We defended well again, as we have all season apart from a mad ten minutes against Rotherham in midweek. Lewis (Grabban) started slowly, but he's only a young kid and has to believe in himself. However, he looked nice and bright in one or two things that he did. Terry (Smith) did well, and now he's certainly in with a shout of playing. I don't know how Les (Pogliacomi) is, so I'll have to look at the situation - but Terry certainly didn't disgrace himself."
