Enigmatic winger Johann Smith spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Saturday evening as he gave his opinion on the 2-1 defeat at home to the Swans. Smith also talking about scoring his first senior goal in English football :

" We got the goal and I thought we could push on to get the second goal and maybe push our way into the play-offs but unfortunately the dream is over. What a great run by the team and by everybody else though.

" I don't know about next year, I'll have to talk to my gaffer (Sam Allardyce), but right now I'm just concentrating on the next game at Scunthorpe. Then after that the World Cup, then we'll see what happens, go back to Bolton, try to make a name there, have a big impact. If I was to go on loan then I'd go on loan again, I don't know where I would go on loan but we'll see. It's a great place here but it's not my decision really, it's my gaffer's decision.

" We are playing in the Youth World Cup, the under-20 World Cup, in Canada. We've got a pretty good group, we've got Brazil, Poland and South Korea so we're looking forward to that. We're just training to try to go to do our best in the World Cup. It's going to be an exciting summer but it's going to be a tiring summer also, not so much rest. What a great experience being here, playing Scunthorpe next, getting as much experience as I can and going with my national team to try to do our best.

" I was shocked when they scored, I couldn't believe it because this was our chance to get into the play-offs and after I don't know how many seconds they scored the goal. The crowd got behind us though, they were pushing us on, when we scored we tried to go for the second one but unfortunately we got done by a goal. I don't know if it was handball or not, I didn't see it, but that's what the guys are saying.

" It was a fantastic run by the team, I'm proud of everybody and everybody did a great job. There is not one person in the squad who hasn't contributed, I'm just proud of everybody and everybody played great, it's been a great season for us pretty much. I'll always remember that goal, what a moment for me and I'm very happy with that. "
