United loan signing Joe Garner spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Saturday evening as he gave his opinion on the somewhat bizarre see-saw defeat at home to Yeovil this afternoon :

" I was proud of the goal at the time, it was due really, I missed a header in the first-half just before it but I was glad to get on the goalscoring sheet. I'm still shocked, I think we had about 20 corners and they had four shots. The boys feel that we were mugged but I'm sure that we'll bounce back.

" When we came in at half-time 1-0 up the older lads thought it was probably the best we've played all season, that's what they were saying. Then in the second-half we've come out and they've scored early and got their tails up, I think they only had four or five shots and four of them have gone in.

" It's three points we are after, they've got the three points and they are back off home happy and we're thinking about what could have been. I just tried to get free in the box, Gally (Kevin Gall) has picked me out with a great ball and I just hit and it's gone in, I just turned and hit it and it has shot in the corner.

" The ball was bouncing in the wrong places and the keeper (Steve Mildenhall) has pulled off some good saves. At 2-1 I had a chance with a left-footed volley and the keeper has pulled it out of the corner. It was one of those things, maybe on another day we'd have gone in 3-0 up at half-time. "

Meanwhile teenage midfielder Luke Joyce commented on his first start for United :

" Hopefully I can get a few more games in, that is what I am here to do and that's what I want to do. We were unlucky really, we've got to make them pay, it was a great experience for me to start though and I thoroughly enjoyed it. "
