United striker Joe Garner spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's James Phillips on Saturday evening as he talked about picking up his sixth booking of the season in the 2-0 home win against Gillingham :

" I think I lasted about 84 minutes of getting kicked around the pitch before the booking, but I don't know, I need to try to cut it out of my game a little bit and stop getting the odd yellow card here and there. I think it's something that is just in me, every manager I have played under has never tried to take it out of me. I think that it's something that I need to get better at myself and try to keep the yellow cards down to as few as I can.

" I think they played very deep, sometimes it's not always pretty football and I think we had to break them down. The goals came at good times and I think that in the end it was a professional performance from the lads. I thought the referee blew early on their disallowed goal but when the cross went in you always think "here we go again." Sometimes you get a bit of luck though and I think we've deserved it over the season, you get some and you don't get some.

" I don't mind a scrappy game but I think it's better to watch flowing football. I think that the fans probably enjoy it more even though it's three points at the end of the day. It's just nicer to watch but I think we understand that sometimes it's not always going to be like that. "
