New United signing Joe Anyinsah spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria this evening about his move to Brunton Park from Preston today for an undisclosed fee, Anyinsah happy to be back at Carlisle following his loan spell last season :

" Obviously the manager (Alan Irvine) said that he was not ready to let me go yet, he needed to have a look at me and obviously he didn't want to leave himself short down at Preston. So it was a tough decision but obviously for my own reasons I wanted to come back. Obviously I didn't get to come back in the end but eventually I am here so I am happy.

" It was a bit strange coming back with Brighton to be fair, I wasn't going to play because I had been ill but I told the manager, Micky Adams at the time, that I really wanted to play in the game obviously. It was nice to come back though and I got a good reception from the crowd which was really nice as well.

" Basically I chose Carlisle because I liked it when I was first here, I spent three months here and it was probably one of my most successful loan periods out of all my clubs. I just like the way that training is and the way that things are run. I get on with all the players here and the coaching staff so it wasn't that difficult a decision.

" A few days ago now, I'm not sure, maybe a week or so ago I knew that Carlisle were in for me. My agent has told me about it and as soon as I knew that they were interested, as long as we could sort out the deal then I was pretty happy to come here. "

" I have been nicknamed the Loan Ranger at Preston but I didn't really like that one to be honest because obviously you just want to be settled and playing week in and week out. Hopefully I can get head down and start doing well for Carlisle.

" I just had my first training session today, obviously I am ready and prepared for the Leeds game so I am raring to go. I have been fit, I am fine at the moment, I just had a couple of weeks out with a hamstring injury but I am back now so I am ready to go.

" Contract security was playing on my mind a little bit as I was deciding where to go, it is nice to get a little bit of security and hopefully and I can relax and then hopefully I can play better on the pitch. It is unbelievable the amount of travelling I have been doing recently, the last few months has been ridiculous. Brighton to Carlisle is a massive difference but I like it here so hopefully there are more good things to come.

" Straight involved with the banter again which is nice, it is good here, a good set of lads. I am just glad that everyone has made me feel welcome and I am happy to be here. It is a strange one as a footballer when you move around different clubs and you are involved in different people's banter.

" It is nice to have people getting you involved straight away, it shows that they like you most times. The lads have not been shy, they have broken me in nicely and I am just glad to be here. Stick is just what you expect and it is something that you get used to, you don't even get worried about getting stick, it is just a natural part of football, so I like it anyway. "
