New Carlisle loan signing Jennison Myrie-Williams spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria on Friday evening ahead of tomorrow's match at home to Leeds United, Myrie-Williams chatting about enduring a frustrating spell at Bristol City recently :

" It's a very good game, Leeds United at home, that is one of the big games of the season and I am looking forward to it. Since I got here, I trained first on Thursday and all the boys are buzzing talking about the big game on Saturday. Even today in training has been sharp, the players have looked sharp and I think that they are all up for the game tomorrow.

" I played against Leeds for Tranmere last time at Elland Road and we beat them 2-0. I scored a goal in that game so I am looking to emulate that and maybe get a goal tomorrow. The ball got headed from the half-way line, one of the Tranmere defenders, and it dropped to me and I headed over one of the guys heads. Then I ran in towards the box and just cut in on my left foot and bent it into the top corner.

" I have been at Bristol City since I was about 13 and I have just come through the Academy all the way to now really, I have been there for quite a long time now. I played 35-40 games when we got promoted from League One, and then since then I have been on loan to Tranmere and Cheltenham, I have been to Cheltenham twice and Tranmere last season.

" When I first went to Cheltenham at the beginning of last season John Ward was there so I played under him then. I think he was a massive point in coming here because I know him and I know his coaching style. I think that he is a good manager and that he can get the best out of me so I thought that it would benefit me a lot to come here. "

" To be fair the boys are a good bunch of lads, I went in the dressing-room and they were all welcoming me. All the boys were nice in welcoming me, training was good and I have settled in quickly I think. They took the pee out of my gear, my jacket and my trainers but I expected that, it was quite a few of them but Michael Bridges was involved. I think that you need a bit of light-heartedness in dressing-rooms, and it has happened in most places.

" Playing for England under-18s was really good for me, hopefully I can play well for Carlisle and see what happens in the future. It has been very frustrating at Bristol City to be honest because I think that I am at a standard where if I was given a chance then I would do a good job there. Obviously they have been doing really well though and you can't change a team that is doing really well so I have had to wait for my chance.

" At the moment though I just want to play football, so I have come to Carlisle to get some games in. I am playing for my future, I am playing for a new contract wherever it may be so I have just come here to enjoy my football and show what I can do really. If all goes well then I would definitely look to extend my stay here, obviously I would have to speak to both managers and see what their thoughts are, but if things go well then I would be happy to stay here.

" From Bristol City I know Richard Keogh, Grant Smith and Michael Bridges so I know a few players. I think that my best position is on either wing, but I like playing upfront as well, so anyone of them really to be honest but left wing or right wing is probably my favourite. He (John Ward) said that I have come in but that the boys have been doing well so I will have to train hard and fight for my place. I am happy to do that and hopefully I will get a chance somewhere, he hasn't told me whether I will play or not so we'll just have to wait and see. "
