Greg Abbott
United caretaker manager Greg Abbott spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Monday morning ahead of Carlisle's FA Cup replay at Grays, Abbott hoping that the Blues can carry on from where they left off in their 3-1 win over Brighton :

" I'm not really bothered about the second round or the £20,000 or anything like that. What I am bothered about, it is another football game that we need to win to get a momentum and get a bit of a run of form going. Everything else comes off the back of a good performance, your result will come and then obviously your £20,000 comes and then the fact that you are in the second round comes.

" Let's get the performance right first though, let's not forget about Saturday but let's put it on the backburner. Let's say that if we reach those standards again then we will really cause Grays a massive problem. Hopefully if we can get that sort of performance we can be looking forward to a really good result, which is what everybody is looking for.

" I'm pleased that they beat Oxford 2-0, I'm really pleased that they have had a good result because it makes sure that our players don't go into the game thinking that they are going to take anything for granted. That they have had a really tough game for them at home last week which really was a reality check for our players, and it does tell you that the Conference is a hell of a good standard.

" If we are not on our mark, if we are not right up at the top of our game then we will find it really difficult down there. It is never a nice place to go, it is a long journey. Take all that out of the way, I am really optimistic that the players will approach it in the right manner and that we will go and produce another performance similar to Saturday and we can come away with a positive result.

" Sunderland have given us permission to play him (Michael Liddle) if we progress, but because he was not registered for the first game he can't play in the replay. Ben (Alnwick's) situation is the same as the last round, he is cup-tied, so there are a couple of changes. We are hopeful though that we can put in a good performance, a good team performance, not have to do too much fiddling about with things.

" Because I think that we got a few things right on Saturday and we want to improve on them without chopping and changing for the sake of it. If in the game, the course of the game, we have to do then we know that we have got the necessary people on the bench to come in and alter systems and alter personnel and we will do that. "
