Leyton Orient manager Geraint Williams spoke to BBC Radio London and his club's official website after his side's 2-2 draw against Carlisle at Brunton Park, Williams unsurprisingly only pleased with the second half showing from his team :

" I think Carlisle will feel that they should have been more than 2-0 up at half-time. In the second half we felt we created enough good chances to win the game and it certainly was a game of two halves.

" We had a frank and open discussion at half-time about what we needed to do in the second half and what we hadn't done in the first half. You wouldn't be able to repeat much of what I said at half-time and it will stay in the dressing room. The players were disappointed, I was disappointed, and we made sure that we didn't go away from the game disappointed after 90 minutes.

" To be fair to the players they showed fantastic spirit and battling quality, not only that but we actually played some football in the second half and created some good chances. But we were very disappointed with the first half performance obviously.

" We are a team, we are not individuals and I couldn't have prepared the team properly because we didn't start right. Then when we went out on the pitch we didn't perform properly as a team. So we will all take our share for that first half, it wasn't good enough, we knew that and we addressed that at half-time. All credit to the players for their second half performance. "

" We said before the game about not living in the past and not thinking about the Charlton game, we were at Carlisle today. We knew it was going to be a totally different game, a cold day and a bobbly pitch, and that we were going to have to fight it out, but we started very poorly and lost our battles all over the pitch.

" It was probably the most frustrating 45 minutes since I've been at the club, so at half time I just reminded the players of what has got us success in the last two matches. The first thing for that is hard work - we're not good enough to just turn up and beat teams, we have to work hard wherever we go.

" Ryan Jarvis is always a 100%-er, he works hard for the team, a lot of it unsung sometimes. He doesn't get the goals that his hard work deserves and that is why we try to get him in the box more because he can score.

" It was a fantastic finish into the top corner for his first goal and if we can get him into those position and deliver balls in there then he will score more. For the second it was a prodigious leap and he got a good header on it. I'm not sure if it was going in, but it took a deflection and it was no more than we deserved. "

" I have asked the referee (Carl Boyeson) after the game why we didn't get a penalty, and to be fair he spoke to me and he said that he felt that the player (Jason Demetriou) didn't get out of the goalkeeper's (Adam Collin's) way. I didn't know he had to but we have just watched it again and it is a stonewall penalty.

" Nicky Adams has come in and given us energy. We are not individuals, I thought he was quiet as well in the first half, so as a team we were poor. But as the team picked up in the second half so did the individuals.

" We have got to start that and when games don't go well we can't just go to half-time and then put things right. We have got to put things right after five minutes and make sure that that doesn't happen for the next 40. But we didn't today in the first half and that was disappointing, but pleasing with the 45 for the second.

" Certainly we deserved at least the equaliser in the second half, we should have had a penalty, Jonathan Tehoue had a good header well saved. Then he had another fantastic strike that if it goes either side of the goalie it flies in the net, and I think Nicky might have had one cleared off the line as well.

" So you put all that together and we certainly should have got all three points in the second half, but if we hadn't had such a bad first half then we would have got all three points. But to be truthful, we were lucky that we were still able to get back into the game because at half time it could have been beyond us. A lot of teams at 2-0 down on a cold day up at Carlisle wouldn't have come back, so that speaks volumes for the players. "
