Wycombe boss Gary Waddock spoke to his club's official website after Wanderers drew 0-0 at home to Carlisle at Adams Park, Waddock trying to take some positives out of what was a dreadful match :

"I can't fault the players' effort but we just lacked a bit in the final third. I felt that everyone was a bit nervous - there was a lot going into the game because of the result last week; everyone was on edge and there was no need to be.

"Like I say, I can't fault their work rate but we were looking for more quality in the final third. We tried to rush things and were trying to force passes - in the situation we're in, players get tense, and we need them to relax so that we can get the best out of them.

"The game was a bit dead and it was very quiet. I think the crowd were nervy as well, the atmosphere and everyone, but we're not going to get out of the position we're in if we're tense.

"You can't play football when you are uptight and we have to relax, and try and play football to get results. Whereas if you are mid-table you can completely chill out. It's difficult but you have got to be composed if you are going for a championship or are in a relegation battle.

"We wanted the win and I would have taken a goal in the 91st minute - it doesn't bother me when the goal comes. We didn't get the result we were looking for but you cannot fault the players - they had a right go.

"A point today could be the point that keeps us up, it could be a valuable point at the end of the season. There's enough games and enough points to get out of it, and it could - and probably will - go right down to the wire. It's never over until it's over."
