Notts County frontman Francois Zoko spoke to BBC Radio Nottingham ahead of his side's League One game against Carlisle at Brunton Park on Saturday afternoon, the former United player first talking about his recent two years with the Cumbrians:

"My time at Carlisle was very good, I always say the same wherever I play in England in my career that Carlisle is a good experience and a good memory there. It was my first club here and the past two seasons were very good years, we won the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and nearly got to the play-offs last season, we did well. Every time if I go back I will enjoy it there with the people and the fans, every time the same thing.

"It depended on what the team did as to how I did away, if you go to win the game, you go to attack or you go to defend. I am not a player who can defend and play my part on the pitch for 90 minutes like this, I prefer playing near the other goal. So, when you go outside it is more complicated and when you travel every travel from Carlisle is far. So, I understand but at home I think I try to play and do my best every time. It is true sometimes I do more at home than away.

"I like Greg Abbott, he is a good manager, if he says that sometimes I am a Premier League player then I will take this, if he says I am not a Premier League player then I take this too because I don't play in the Premier League, it is too good for me. Sometimes I try but I don't have the success, I am not a Premier League player, when I have the success I am a Premier League player. I think it is not bad when he says this, I will take it.

"I play every game and I want to score, if I have the opportunity to score I go and score, I don't think about the fact that it is Carlisle in the game. I think in the game I forget it is against Carlisle, before the game I think I must have a laugh with the lads, after the game maybe not laugh or speak again if we win, but in the game I think we are going to go 100% and after the game it is football, who wants to win the game will go and win."
