Saddlers midfielder Dwayne Mattis spoke to the Walsall Advertiser about his headed goal in the first-half at the Banks's Stadium on Saturday, Mattis suggesting that confidence is high in the Saddlers camp :

"I thought it was just a matter of time but when it got to 40 minutes, I thought 'is it going to be one of those days where you get loads of chances but you don't get the goal. But luckily for us it went in and I thought some of our football at times was brilliant and I have to say Jabo Ibehre was absolutely top-drawer.

"We knew Carlisle were a good footballing team and you find with good footballing sides that they allow you to play football as well. I think they came and played good football and showed why they are probably going to be in the top six. But we matched them and showed why, if we carry on like we are doing, we should be in the top six. I don't see any reason why we shouldn't be.

"Last week we won and thought we were definitely going to be in the top six so to look at the table and see we were still seventh was a bit of a downer. But we're fifth now and after three wins on the bounce, confidence is high. It's still early in the season, I don't think we're ten games in yet but the confidence is high and we don't fear anyone. Bring them on, I say.

"We've just got to go to Hereford and play like we've been playing. We don't want to get over-confident but we want to be confident in our ability to go anywhere and give teams a game in this league."
