Whites boss Dennis Wise spoke to the official Leeds United website about his side's 3-1 defeat at Brunton Park on Saturday, Wise talking about how disappointed his players were at the final whistle :

"Sometimes you need a wake-up call, and we got that in the last 35 minutes. We needed that maybe. We'd not lost in 13, but it's not going to be handed to you on a plate. We musn't stop doing what we've been doing, and we did in the second half.

"It was down to us being sleepy at set-plays. Certain people were caught out quickly. They know it. They went to sleep. We can't have it and we can't allow it. We played well in the first half, and maybe deserved to pick up more goals. We had a few chances and could have killed the game off.

"John (Ward) had a word with his lot at half-time and they came out fighting. They were fortunate to be just 1-0 down, but he got them up for it, and they looked a different team.

"They worked hard and had lots of energy. They gambled, went for it, and they got it. The advantage went to them, things fell for them and it was their day. You have to complement Carlisle on the way they finished.

"The first goal was a wonderful strike and they made things difficult after that. You think we played so well for 55 minutes, but then you look at the last 35 minutes and we did a lot wrong. We were disappointed with the goals we conceded and the lads were disappointed at the end.

"We made some mistakes, but if you go 14 games and only lose one you're going to make some mistakes. You hope it will go on forever, but it's ended. We've done fantastic so far, now we have to kick on again."
