Dennis Booth
United assistant manager Dennis Booth spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria this evening ahead of Carlisle's crunch match against Millwall tomorrow, Booth saying that the Blues have to turn their recent run of draws into a win tomorrow :

" The mood in the last few weeks has been very good, the problem is that we have trained well, we have done well but we just haven't been able to get that vital win. I believe that we have had seven games and we have drawn six, so that tells a story and we have led in most of those games.

" Then for some unknown reason we have conceded, so that is why we are in the position we are but the mood has been very good, the belief is still there. We are in with a chance and we are going to have a right crack at it tomorrow. We will have to wait and see but we are going to do our utmost to keep this football club in this division, there is no doubt about that.

" You come into this game, pressure is what you make it yourself, pressure at the top, this time last year we were going for promotion, this time you deal with it. I have been in the game a long while and have experienced a lot of things so you deal with that.

" We are getting the lads right, we are getting them focused for this all important 90 minutes and after that we will have to see where we are going. At the moment though we are all focused on doing one job, 3pm until ten to five, or five to five when we finish nowadays, to get that all important thing. So we have been focused, as have the players and as has everyone in the club. "

" No second chances tomorrow, obviously (Michael) Bridges is out and Evan (Horwood) but we will deal with that. Whatever side or sixteen, seventeen players that go out there, substitutes and everyone will be there, the other players that are not involved as well, we are all pulling for one way, for Carlisle United Football Club.

" We haven't got any new injuries, everyone is looking forward to it. The injured ones are the ones that are going to miss out, which is sad for those boys, I am sure that they wanted to be out on the park. I would like to be out on the park but I am a little bit too old for that.

" We have got to block out people shouting out scores, it is about us, it is no good what happens anywhere else. Really we have got to win the football match and then come five to five whatever will be will be, but we will be concentrating on winning this game because that is what we have to do first and foremost.

" It is no good worrying about what is going on anywhere else, we have just got to win the football match and we will take it from there. Whatever happens we will regroup and look for next season, when hopefully we will be in this division. That is what we are going to strive to do tomorrow anyway.

" Training has been exactly the same, the lads have been superb. We have to take that onto the football pitch now, the main one, some of the performances have been good but we have drawn the last five games and conceded goals late on, as it be maybe a little bit of bad luck. Over a season though we are in this position and we have to look at it like that. "

" The training has been good, we are just saying to the players to take that enthusiasm and take that onto the football field tomorrow at three o'clock. If you give of your best that is all that we can ask, and if they give us their best then I am sure that we will get the breaks and get the result we are looking for.

" We have just trained and when they go over that white line tomorrow, whatever team we pick, they are in charge. We will give them the tactics if you like to call it, we do the set-plays, we make them aware of certain things. You just have to go out and we are looking for 100% effort from everyone, and commitment.

" If they give us that then we have got to be pleased with it, we can't ask for more than that. If you give that though then you are in with a chance, and we are still in with a great chance I believe, and we are going to give it a right crack anyway, there is no doubt about that.

" The crowd will be massively important tomorrow, we want them to stick with us, they have done well for us and we need that tomorrow. They are a good side Millwall, strong, and we need the crowd, we always need the crowd but tomorrow especially we need them to stick with us as long as they can.

" Hopefully we will give them something at the end to really celebrate, although it is only staying in the division. It is always nice to be at the top to do it but we want them to stick with us and I am sure that they will do. "

" I don't know if the fans will voice their displeasure tomorrow, we will have to wait and see whether that happens or not. I hope that they don't do it, obviously they are displeased with it, obviously we are displeased with it. I hope that doesn't happen but I can't speak for those people.

" I think that the majority of fans at this football club have been brilliant and have stuck by us, but you will always probably get a minority that have been unhappy. We are unhappy, we are certainly unhappy with what has happened but we are in this position and we can't do anything about what has gone, but we can certainly try to do something about tomorrow.

" Over the last few weeks we have been upset with certain things that have happened, that has gone against us, but that happens in football. We can't do anything about that, that has gone behind us, over a hard season we are in this position and we have got to try to get out of it, and we have got one throw of the dice to try to do it tomorrow.

" You have just got to keep telling the strikers to get in those positions and the goals will come, if we don't get in the positions then you won't score. We have had a problem in front of goal as everyone knows, and you are just hoping tomorrow that they will get in that box, they will still try to get there and the goals will come.

" That is all you can do, but if they don't get in those positions, if they don't go in there with confidence then we won't score. You have got to make sure that they have got that belief, say to them that they might miss one, you might miss two, but you have still got to keep getting in that box and getting in those areas. "
