United loan striker Darryl Duffy spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's James Phillips at Monday morning's press conference for the local media, Duffy first looking back on Carlisle's 5-0 home hammering of MK Dons at the weekend :

" Saturday was fantastic for me, it is always good to get a goal on your home debut, to go with a 5-0 victory against MK Dons is a great result for us. I got the goal in the end, we probably should have had two or three. If I get a wee bit sharper in front of goal with a few more games then hopefully I can score a few more.

" It is great to just be playing football, I actually got a wee bit of cramp coming on on Saturday, and that is the first time I have had that in a long time. It was actually quite a nice feeling in a weird way to get cramp. I think that is the first time I have played three 90 minutes in a week in a long time, so it is a good feeling.

" MK Dons are a really good side and they are up there around or about the play-offs for a reason, because they are a good side. But it just shows you how well we played and how hard we worked for each other, so it was a great result for us.

" It was a combination of hard work, maybe a few little bits of good fortune here and there, maybe things have not been going our way. I think that if we keep working hard like that and creating chances like we did on Saturday then we will be a force against any side I think. "

" Being a smaller striker I obviously like having a partner up there beside me. But as long as I am playing, if I am playing upfront on my own, if I am playing up there in a two or a three I don't really care as long as I am playing, scoring goals and the team is winning games then I am happy.

" Obviously the first game I played was at Colchester and it was controversial circumstances shall we say on a terrible pitch. Then we went and got the great result and a great point at the Galpharm against Huddersfield.

" Unfortunately I was cup-tied for the game midweek against Leeds, that was another fantastic achievement for the club to get to a Wembley final. Then Saturday capped off a magnificent week for the club with a great victory against MK Dons.

" I am loving it so far, they are a great bunch of lads, all the backroom staff are all fantastic, everyone is being really helpful. So I am loving my time here, I am closer to Scotland as well which is a bit of a bonus. So I am delighted and I am loving it."

" Big Richard Keogh has stood out so far, he is always up for a laugh. To be fair there is a lot of them, it is a really lively changing room, there are more lively characters than there are quiet characters and that can be only be a good thing as well.

" I have been pretty much left to get on with my own devices by Bristol Rovers to be honest. When we had the Leeds game here and I was cup-tied I went back to Bristol and had a couple of days training, Monday, Tuesday training at Bristol Rovers.

" That is the only time really I have spoken to anybody there from the staff. Obviously I keep in touch with some of the boys there, I speak to them on a regular basis but apart from that I have had no real contact at all.

" It is just one of those where I have got to wait and see how it goes here. It has started quite well but that is up to me as well to maintain form and keep scoring goals. If I do that then hopefully I will have a couple of options come the summer, but I am not going to concentrate on that just yet now. I am just going to focus on football and doing well on the football side and what will be in the summer will be."
