Darren FergusonPeterborough manager Darren Ferguson spoke to BBC Radio Cambridgeshire after his side's 6-0 demolition of Carlisle at London Road, Ferguson understandably saying he really enjoyed watching his team play :

"An excellent afternoon's work, really enjoyable, really enjoyed my team playing today. We started off really well, a goal, I think it was a minute and 20 seconds, it was a great goal by Rowey (Tommy Rowe) and I was just getting a little bit frustrated because of the one on ones we should have scored, then Craig (Mackail-Smith) got the second, then for 15 minutes we were a little bit slack, George (Boyd) getting the third obviously gave us a good advantage. Then we just said at half-time to make sure we are disciplined and keep a clean sheet, the lads have done that and then the goals at the end were very good.

"For 15 minutes, we have spoken a lot about pressing the ball, we have done a lot of work on it, we just got, not ragged, but we were going in ones and twos rather than together, and they had a couple of openings which I wasn't happy about, But, in the main it was a really good afternoon and I enjoyed watching my team playing, when a manager can say that you know it has been a good day.

"It is no disrespect to Carlisle but 6-0 they have been lucky with, two penalties missed, and that is the only disappointing thing with today, the penatlies that we missed. But, we are on a good run and so are others, it is going to go to the wire, I don't really rush off to see other results but obviously I have found out about them and evreyone is winning. Obviously, Bournemouth lost although there could have been two winners there but it is going to go to the wire I think.

"It is similar to two years ago, the lads have got a real good siege mentality, when I came in today I got Neil Gilby who does the stuff to get them a motivational video together and it must have worked, so I have been told I have got to congratulate him on that. I have always said that you have got to entertain people and I will never change from that, you have got to win, don't get me wrong, but you have got to entertain people. They work all week and they come and watch us and hopefully we get more through the turnstiles when you get a result like that.

"It is fantastic to score 100 goals in all competitions now, with what, eleven games to go, it is unbelievable really. We know we have got goals in us and today I felt some of our football, even though they went down to ten men, even when they had eleven men I thought some of our football was very, very good and they caught us on a good day. So, we are in tomorrow, we go again Tuesday, it will be a really tough three away games now, we had to make sure we had the right result today, but at the moment we are going along well.

"I think the players really have got that belief, and the confidence within each other and the togetherness to really kick on. They have taken on board everything we have said and all the credit has to go to them, but I will say that I have got a good team, I have got a good staff. You get all the plaudits, and yes it is nice, but it would be a real shame if we didn't get rewarded at the end of the season for it. We have got to keep going in the last eleven games, we might have to win all of them."
