Workington boss Darren Edmondson spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's John Walsh after his side's 1-1 draw at home to Alfreton tonight, Edmondson talking about Carlisle youngsters Tom Aldred and Andy Cook who are currently on loan at Borough Park, Edmondson first chatting about centre-half Aldred:

" For a teenager he has got good organisation and he is a big strong boy. He knows how to play as a centre-back and he does things right. He is inevitably going to be a good player for Carlisle United at some point, he has just got to learn how to play consistently and then he will go on.

" Obviously he is playing for Scotland at the moment, under-19s or whatever level it is, and if he can come and play some games for us then he can go and start to play higher. He has got to start somewhere in competitive mens football as you would, and I think tonight showed that he has got a lot of attributes to his game.

" It was by far Andy Cook's best perfomance for us since he has come back, I think he was back to when he came last season. We have to be mindful that that is only now his fourth game since July, his fourth start, two for us, third one tonight, one for Carlisle in any type of decent game. So there is still more to come from Cooky but he has to realise again what it takes to play at this level.

" What it takes to play at the level he has come from is hard work and hard graft and as a forward you will only create chances by working hard and making players make mistakes. Today he was probably one of our best players and probably with a bit more luck or a little bit more guile could have had a couple of goals himself. "
