Workington boss Darren Edmondson spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's John Walsh after his side's 2-1 defeat away to Redditch yesterday, Edmondson talking about Carlisle youngsters Tom Aldred and Andy Cook who are currently on loan at Borough Park, Edmondson first explaining his decision to leave the returning Lee Andrews out of the starting eleven :

" Tom has been excellent in the games he has played for us, so in that aspect it wasn't a difficult decision really. Because I have always said to them that if people are playing well and they are in the shirt then they will keep the shirt, so I have to be fair. Even if he is on loan it makes no difference, and the other thing that was in the back of my mind was that it rests Lee for next Saturday's FA Cup game when Tom is not allowed to play. So that was another thing that was in my mind but Tom has been excellent.

" Andy Cook's substitution is something that has been bothering him for a couple of weeks he has been telling me. So I am going to speak to Carlisle United about it and see what they want us to do, he is hobbling quite badly and he has got quite a big swelling on the bottom of his ankle bone. So it is something that he is going to have to look at and we will have to wait and see what they are doing in this week.

" An extension of their loans is something that I will have to discuss this week with Greg (Abbott). He will obviously be aware that Cooky's is up next weekend even though he can't play. So if we are going to extend that then I will have to speak to Cooky and to Greg about that. "
