United stars Danny Livesey and Keiren Westwood spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey over the weekend as they talked about the the upcoming two-legged play-off semi-final against Leeds, both players also talking about their inclusion in the PFA League One team of the year, centre-half Livesey first saying :

" It does mean that little bit extra because it's by your own peers. It's something to look back and be proud on, but at this minute in time it doesn't really matter much until we see what we do and when we go up. Even though it's two games, you need to be in it after the first game, we need to go down there and be solid and get a result. We need to get some sort of result down there and get them back up here, no-one will fancy coming here.

" It is slightly different because there is so much riding on this game, whereas if you lost it then you could keep three points after that. Whereas this one if you lose, or you lose by a lot, then you could end up ruining your chances of getting to Wembley. I can't wait now, the way that things turned out on Saturday it wouldn't really have mattered if I was playing or not because Forest won. So it was nice just to get that little break for the play-offs, and hopefully be back in the team and doing what we need to do to get a result.

" If you listen to other managers and other people talking about the game Leeds are already in the final, so to us we can just go down there and enjoy ourselves and try to get a result, as we have got to do. I think we are going to run the next two games on pure adrenaline. Everyone should be up for it because if you can't get up for this then you are in the wrong business aren't you. We should go out flying, and we'll see what happens, that's all that we can do. "

While goalkeeper Keiren Westwood commented :

Keiren Westwood
" It's been a long hard season and me and Danny have played over 50 games this year. When people do vote you into teams like that it's always special. You can look back over the course of your career and say to your kids that you were in the League One team of the year for 2007-08. It's something that we'll look back on but it is in the past and we are looking forward to Monday night's game.

" I don't know about pressure, we are all young boys, I don't think that we feel pressure. I think that we just feel excited to play in games like this, play-offs is something that you can always put in the bank and use it as experience over the years. The majority of the lads have played the majority of the games, Livesey has played 50-odd, I've played 50-odd.

" It is a long hard season, don't get me wrong, I know that we are only young lads and that but 50 games in any season. It doesn't matter if you are 18 or 35, it is still going to take the stuffing out of you, but we are going to give it our best shot. One last final effort really, the biggest effort that we have got and we'll go and do it the right way. I'm not really going to concern myself with Leeds. Obviously we play Leeds but I am not going to say too much about them. They are a big club though, not so long ago they were playing Champions League football. "
