Blues goalscorer Danny Graham
United striker Danny Graham spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Saturday evening as he talked about Carlisle's tight 1-0 win against Doncaster at Brunton Park :

" It was a massive relief when the goal went in. I think that we took the game to Doncaster today, we knew that it was going to be a tough game but the gaffer (John Ward) gave a good team-talk before the game. The main thing was to go out and get the three points and put pressure on the top two and hopefully get into an automatic promotion place.

" Doncaster pass the ball really well, they were a really good team. We found it difficult down at their place, they passed it around and they got the 1-0 win down there. We've got the win today though and it puts us right back in the thick of things. There were certainly a lot of tired legs, we haven't had a game for two weeks now, there have been a couple of games called off.

" The most important thing though was to go out, we haven't had a game for two weeks, so everyone was looking forward to today's game and thankfully we have come through it with the three points. It's brilliant, eleven games unbeaten at home, we've won them all which is great for everyone but we need to try to sort this away form out. If we do that then I'm sure that we can get that second automatic place.

" I've always stated that I want to be the top goalscorer, as a striker I want to score as many goals as I can but Joe (Garner) has been in fantastic form all season. I had a dry patch for about 18 games or so which was a bit frustrating but now I'm back in the goal charts. I'm only two behind him now and hopefully we can have a good battle towards the end of the season.

" I can't put my finger on what happened to be honest, I just think it's goals. As a striker you base your performances on goals and when I went on that long stretch without a goal I was finding it difficult. My confidence in front of goal was down but luckily I got that bit of luck against Walsall and the rest is history now. I've scored three in my last four and hopefully and I can go on a little run and give Joe a bit of competition for that top goalscorer.

" We do look at the league table, we have a little look but we've got to take it a game at a time. We don't want to get ahead of ourselves, we know that we are having a good season. We need to go to Crewe now on the back of a very good win against Doncaster and hopefully pick up three points there. "
