Blues top scorer Danny Graham
United striker Danny Graham spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey this week about the £250,000 bid put in for him by Huddersfield Town, Graham saying that he is just concentrating solely on the game at Leeds tomorrow :

" It's obviously nice to be wanted, it shows that I am doing the right job but at the minute it is all speculation on my behalf. There has been an offer made to the club but that has been rejected, which is fine. I am looking forward to Saturday's game and my head is firmly on the mindset of the game on Saturday. So there is nothing else to say on the matter to be honest.

" Saturday is the main thing, obviously I am a Carlisle United player and I am a Carlisle United player until something changes. I am happy at the club, I have stated that before, there has been an offer, it has been rejected and that is the end of the story, I am looking forward to Saturday.

" We seem to play better against the better teams in this league I think, we always come up with a good game against the good teams. We were unlucky against Leicester, I think that we did very well and we were unlucky to get beat, Leeds away at Elland Road though, 30.000 plus maybe, and what more do you want as a footballer.

" The mood in the club is spot on, everyone is bubbly like they normally are. Even when we had a bit of a tough patch we tried not to let our heads go down, I think that everyone is on a high and looking forward to Leeds on Saturday.

" I think that there are a lot of managers who disagree with the January window. Because you are halfway through a season, players are doing well and then you don't want to lose those players, which is obvious. It is something that I am not going to really get focused in on, I just want to concentrate on playing football. Until anything changes I am a Carlisle United player, I am happy and I just want to do well for the club.

" In a sense I am saying not to talk about it but the press obviously get hold of stuff and they print it. It might unsettle a few fellows but in my case it is not going to unsettle me, I am firmly focused on Saturday. I am sure that if there is interest in any of the other players then I am sure that they would say the same.

" I am happy with my form but obviously I would like a few more goals, which is being a bit greedy maybe. I am a striker though and I want to score in every game, I know that is not possible but I keep on improving. We are working a lot on the training ground on attacking play and defending play so I feel as though I am improving my game all around as well, and thankfully as well I have been getting a few goals along the way. "

Meanwhile Terriers Chief Executive Nigel Clibbens commented on his club's bid for Graham :

" It is no surprise that Huddersfield Town are going to be linked with players of this kind. I am sure that us being linked with Danny Graham is not the last time that we will be linked with a player. The way that the club will work is that we are not going to talk specifically about individual targets and enquiries that we make until the deal is done.

" So I am not going to talk about Danny in particular, but what I will say is that the club is looking to bring in quality players who are capable of excelling at this level and going on to higher levels. That is nothing new and therefore when we are linked with players such as Danny Graham that is par for the course.

" Like anything, we have valuations that we put on all the players that we try to bring in to the club. The selling clubs, Carlisle are no different to anybody else, will have their own valuations, what we have got to do is try to get the best value for the club. Anything that we put in we make a fair offer, we will watch developments and we will see how things move through the rest of the period with all the targets that the club has got. "
